Capturing the CAPE #Downtown Cape


I moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, in April 2018, after living in Washington, D.C. for many years. I noticed quite a few sunflowers popping up on Spanish and Lorimier Streets..

One of my favorite movies growing up was "The Wizard of Oz" that was broadcast..

Interesting, colorful, earthy or just empty - buildings that made me stop and appreciate their uniqueness, today and yesterday.

There is an abandoned car wash located on the corner of Themis and Middle Streets in downtown Cape. I was a little curious...

I love these homes in downtown Cape Girardeau and their celebration of Independence Day with the red, white and blue.

A 1958 Chevrolet Bel-Air. Now that's a sweet city ride that I spotted 'clocking' around the Main and Themis Streets intersection in downtown Cape.

The river neighborhoods in downtown Cape have so many beautiful and unique homes. And just when I think I've seen them all....
