Mississippi Might

It moves quickly with intensity as it pushes south towards the gulf, bloated from the all the spring rain.  The Mississippi River at Cape has been above flood stage for over a month, roaring downstream and living up to the "mighty" name.  My pictures couldn't quite capture the river's power - you have to stand near it, but not too close, to experience its strength.

The force of water
powers the Mississippi.
Just respect its might.
The rails are lonely
the flood keeps the trains away.
I miss their whistles.
